The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations(JCAHO) has just released their recommendations for the hospital of the future (see link below).

The ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value sponsored a visit from world-renowned sensei John Shook on Nov. 7th. John told the people attending Friday report out “people all around the world are looking to you to learn” (in the quest to implement the Toyota Production System in healthcare).
